Influence of Hip-hop on the current style of dance

Hip-hop arose as a way to express its dissent and revolt against the police by the Black and Latino youth. The 80s' and 90s' was another time for a lot of Hip-hop artists. These artists were of color, and they came out with albums. The lyricism focused on the police and how the artists were treated because of their race. The lyrics were directed towards the police department. Emerged from the streets and now as times are changing, the hip-hop artists have adapted themselves to this ever-changing world. A culture that started in the streets is now a part of the mainstream and has even managed its way into a hip-hop musical in New York.
